Empowering Nez Perce County Together
Standing up today for a better tomorrow
Standing up today for a better tomorrow
I was raised on a farm in Charlo, Montana, the youngest of 4 with three older brothers. I was involved in 4-H during my youth and have worked since I was 13. My first job was waiting tables in town during the summer and after school. We were taught to be responsible at an early age.
When I married, we moved to Niarada, Montana and had 2 children. We ran a small cow calf operation where we worked long hard hours putting up hay, grain and changing sprinkler pipe. In the summer we took our stock cows to forest service permits, and tribal land leases for summer pasture. In the winter we would calve out 200-300 head of cows. I was secretary of a nine member association for 2 years. We worked with the forest service and other entities to make the most out of the ground for all people concerned along with protecting wildlife, timber and waterways. I was president of the PTA for 2 years when my children were in school as I believe parents and teachers should work together for the betterment of education.
To date I have owned multiple businesses with great success. This self motivation has been the key to my success, along with a hard work ethic.
In 2020, after making several trips to Orofino to catch steelhead, we fell in love with the LC Valley and the surrounding area which prompted our move to Lenore. We have lived here since April of 2022 finding this area to be our forever home. We are surrounded by good neighbors and became involved in the community by joining Lenore Activity Community Center shortly after moving here.
I have always had an interest in the job as County Commissioner as I am interested in how our tax dollars are spent. If you live in Nez Perce County I'm sure you have heard about the Lenore Bridge. This project, along with a few other county issues has spurred my decision to run, as I believe my years of business experience and working with the public will provide the skills necessary to serve you as the next Nez Perce County Commissioner, District 3.
As such, I promise to work hard for you, the taxpayer. I will stand with you and will not allow my fundamental values to be compromised when making decisions for you. I can say with confidence that I will be the voice of reason and I will fight for the people of Nez Perce County
I welcome your input, have a skill for really listening and would love to get your feedback.
I want to give a heartfelt thanks to everyone that supported me during my campaign and in turn voted for me. From those that helped with mailers to those that walked the precincts with me, everyone's efforts are deeply appreciated and won't be soon forgotten. Until next time.
Thank you for the opportunity to speak!
